From a graduating scholar of mechanical engineering at Trinity College Dublin, John Robert Anthony Carrington went on to contribute his engineering expertise in the development of rail, port, water treatment, and highway schemes worldwide. A civil engineering legacy for which he will forever be remembered for his contributions made and the people who will continue to benefit from them. May he now rest in peace.
