Visas and Immigration Requirements

Please consult the document linked below for details of visa and immigration requirements pertaining to your studies in Ireland.

Visa and Immigration Information

*For new updates, see the Department of Justice’s Irish Immigration website and Registration FAQS: https://www.irishimmigration.ie/registering-your-immigration-permission/frequently-asked-questions-for-registration/

Registering Your Immigration Permission

Within 90 days after arriving in Ireland, all non-EU/EEA/Swiss/UK international students must register with the Irish Immigration Service Delivery (ISD). We would advise registering with the ISD as soon as you can. After you have completed online registration for Trinity, you can make an appointment by calling 1800 800 630 from an Irish phone number (for students who reside in Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, Cork, or Limerick only). Students living outside of these counties should visit this link for further information on registering their immigration permission.

To register your immigration permission, you will have to provide certain documentation and proof of health insurance. For more details please visit this link.

ISD Information and Orientation Sessions

All non-EU students: Friday 20 January, 15.00 - 15.30 in the Ed Burke Theatre

During Orientation Week, we will run a number of sessions covering the immigration process, banking, and cross-cultural adjustment. Check out the Orientation Timetable page to learn more.
