Research Culture
Welcome
Trinity’s Research Charter and Living Research Excellence Strategy are the result of a highly consultative process that garnered input from across the whole community. The principles and goals set out within them are intended to articulate the kind of research culture we want to develop at Trinity - one that enables researchers to work on their ideas in a positive, productive, and open environment. Examples of Trinity initiatives that support the development of our research culture are gathered below.
- Athena SWAN Trinity holds a Silver Athena SWAN award. The EDI Office oversees Athena SWAN in Trinity and works directly with Schools, supporting them to engage in and embed the process locally.
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion All staff, students and visitors have a role to play in making Trinity an inclusive and egalitarian community. The university has also developed dedicated offices who specialise in equality-related matters.
- Engaged Research Engaged research aims to investigate issues of public interest with society partners. Find resources for supporting engaged research here.
- Reward and Recognition The Trinity Research Excellence Awards recognise the contributions of our colleagues who embody the principles in our Research Charter.
