Depositor Terms and Conditions
Agreement between Depositors and the Administrators of edepositIreland
The Collection Management Division of the Library of Trinity College Dublin undertakes to develop a community within TARA (the Institutional Repository of Trinity College Dublin), to be known as edepositIreland.
edepositIreland is a repository for the collection, description, archiving and preservation of the electronic publishing output of Ireland. It is an open access repository, which means that the items included should be freely available for public consultation and copying.
Publishers agree to deposit publications in edepositIreland on their own initiative, and as soon as possible after publication.
Publishers agree to provide associated metadata (title, date of publication, document type etc.) directly into edepositIreland at the time of deposit. The administrators of edepositIreland reserve the right to upgrade metadata.
Deposited publications will receive a persistent web link that remains constant and allows anyone worldwide access over the Internet. Publishers may link from their own Website to their deposited material using the persistent handle assigned to their publication.
The administrators of edepositIreland will allow contributors to amend a previous admission with revisions, but will remove the original item only under exceptional circumstances.
The administrators of edepositIreland reserve the right to remove any material of a defamatory or libellous nature.
The publisher agrees that the Library of Trinity College Dublin may migrate any submitted publications to another platform or file format in the future, for the purposes of access and preservation.
